How do I book an appointment or a boarding stay?
Give us a call at (801) 503-9390. We will check availability, answer your questions, and get your dog on the schedule. A phone call is the fastest way to reach us.
What are your hours?
Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Sunday is open for boarding pick-up and drop-off only.
Where are you located?
10279 S 1300 E, Sandy, UT 84094, in the Alta Shopping Center.
What are the vaccination requirements?
Proof that your dog is current on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. You can send records from your vet ahead of time or bring them at drop-off.
Does my dog need a temperament test before boarding?
Yes. It is a quick safety step so we know every dog is comfortable and a good fit for our open-play, kennel-free environment.
What should I pack for a boarding stay?
Just your dog’s regular food for each meal. We provide clean bedding and bowls. Please leave personal beds, toys, and bowls at home.
Do you accept all breeds?
We welcome all breeds and never judge a dog by its breed. Because our boarding is kennel-free and open-play, the safety of the whole pack comes first, so a dog with a history of biting or one that is very dominant may not be the right fit. Every dog is different, so give us a call and we will talk through your dog’s temperament to make sure The Doggy Den is a good match.
How often should my dog be groomed, and how long does it take?
We recommend a full groom every 6 to 8 weeks. A typical full groom takes about 3 to 4 hours, and we never rush.
Do you work with anxious or senior dogs?
Yes. We specialize in gentle, patient, positive-reinforcement care. Tell us about any special needs when you call.
